2025 SpotlightI am passionate about athletics and academics. I am eager to contribute to a competitive program where I can grow as an athlete, learn from experienced coaches, and be part of a team culture that values hard work, accountability, and unity.
Softball has been part of my life for as long as I can remember. I have been playing since I was four years old, and my entire life has been spent with my family and softball families on the field. From a young age, I showed talent, speed, and instincts that set me apart from other girls. As I began competing competitively, my coach instilled in me the expectation of being aggressive when hitting, running for bases, and going for balls. I have never been afraid of the ball or bat—embracing the physical and mental challenges of the game.
Since my freshman year, I have been a starter on my varsity team, where my work ethic and passion for both softball and my teammates helped me naturally rise to a leadership position. I take pride in leading by example—bringing positivity, energy, and a competitive mindset to every practice and game.
My athleticism, versatility, and instinctive play set me apart from other recruits. At 5’8” and 145 lbs, I use my speed, agility, and quick decision-making to excel at shortstop, second base, and all outfield positions. My favorite position is center field because it allows me to fully utilize my range, tracking down balls and making plays anywhere on the field.
For my travel ball team, the Oklahoma Bombers, I had a batting average of .512, an OPS of 1.372, and a perfect fielding percentage of 1.000 in center field during the fall of 2024. I consistently have the highest fielding percentage of all players on my teams while primarily playing center field and shortstop, highlighting my reliability and defensive skills.
I am also a multi-sport athlete, running track to improve my speed, endurance, and explosiveness. So far in the spring 2025 season, I have recorded times of 62 seconds in the 400 meters and 27 seconds in the 200 meters—demonstrating my quickness and conditioning, which translate directly to my performance on the softball field.
Academically, I am dedicated to challenging myself. I have a 3.429 weighted GPA, and I am enrolling in concurrent enrollment classes for my senior year to continue expanding my academic growth. In addition to my academic efforts, I am a proud member of the National Honor Society and have been involved with Leadership Edmond, where I have had the opportunity to develop my leadership skills and collaborate with peers.
As a teammate, I support and uplift those around me. My leadership, character, work ethic, and team-first mentality set me apart and help me make a positive impact on any team on or off the field.
