Personal Statement
My name is Desiree Kodesh I am a senior this year at grant union high school. I am 5 feet 8 inches tall and I play center. I have been playing basketball since third grade and have loved it ever since. I made varsity my freshmen year and have lettered every year, I also have been playing summer ball for the past four years also. I am the team captain this year and plan to lead the team to at least the playoff game. I am a big team player and love to encourage my team mates to do their best. I would not say that I am the best offensive player but I work hard, my favorite thing to do on the court is to play defense. I am a hard working player and work well with listening to what the coach is teaching me. I love to learn new post moves to help me on offence. While going to school I would like to study elementary education to become a fifth or sixth grade teacher. I love to work with little children and have coached many basketball camps for the kids. My preferences for a school would be a smaller but not too small I like big towns so I think really I could go anywhere. My finances are very tight and that is why I am hoping to get some form of scholarship to play basketball but would play without one also, I also have good grades and am planning on getting scholarships for that also. My realistic athletic goals are to play all through college and work up to starting varsity would be my goal. I love to play basketball and could not ever see myself not playing the sport I love.
