Izzy Wilmot '25 Recruiting Profile

Hi, my name is Izzy and I am a 5'3 /3rd basemen/catcher/pitcher. I'm a 2025 graduate at Abington Heights Highschool in Clarks Summit, PA and plan on playing softball in college. I started playing travel ball when I was 9 years old for Impact Panthers. I’m now playing on the Pocono Predators 16u National.  I started as a backup catcher for my team then slowly transitioned to a 3rd basemen and then a pitcher and a catcher again. I also played center field for a few years, a lot of people call me the definition of a utility player. In the past 3 years, I have decided that I wanted to try and play at a college level and started working more on my skills. Within that time span, I have been asked to play tournaments with four 18u teams within my travel organization.  While playing those tournaments, my love for the game really stood out and I realized that I would never want to stop playing.

Other than softball, I really focus on accedemics too. I want to attend a college that will impact me academically and will also set me down my path of sports medicine, or dental hygiene . Throughout my years in middle and highschool school I have been placed in advanced classes and excelled every single one of them while still enjoying extra curricular sports and activities. My current GPA is 3.8 and I’ve been on the honor roll every quarter.  School has taught me many things, including working hard for what you want and staying strong even when its hard. In both softball and school, I am very competitive and have no problem learning new staragies and techniques to help my team. Even though I am young, I know I will want to play softball in college and dream of being part of a college team.
