Personal Statement
I’m currently a junior at Moshannon Valley High School in Houtzdale, PA playing varsity softball. My current positions include pitcher and 2nd base. I take every opportunity in the off season to strengthen both my defensive and offensive skills through weekly private batting and pitching lessons. During the summer travel season, I play with Central PA Wolfpack 18U team, supporting both the positions of pitcher and middle infielder. Off the field, dedication and loyalty are two of my strongest character assets. I envision my college years as a way to continue my personal growth and play for a coach that will support my life goals. In addition, my college goal is to earn either a speech pathology or occupational therapist degree that will prepare me for a medical career. I enjoy the outdoors immensely, so I'm even considering a degree in Environmental Science. On the field, I plan to continue growing as versatile player supporting the batting, infield and or pitching rotations. Most importantly, influencing my team with as much positive reinforcement and feedback is important to me and reminds us that win or lose, rewards are achieved through respecting one another first.
