Personal Statement
I am a sophomore at Penns Valley Area High School in Spring Mills, Pennslyvania. I have aspirations of playing college softball at the highest level I can possibly achieve. Last season my freshman year I started as a freshman in leftfield taking on a different position than what I was used to playing outfield. I was up for the challenge and was selected as 2nd Team Mountain League and 2nd Team All-District as a left fielder. I am different from others because I am very committed, a hard worker, and versatile to adapt to different situations. I also work hard to try to be the best I can be not only for myself, but to help my team. At the start of the season I batted eighth in the order and my first Varsity at bat as a freshman I hit a homerun. Two games later I was moved to the No. 4th spot and remained there for the remainder of the season. Also, I play volleyball and was the starting Varsity outsider hitter and I was the 6th man coming off of the bench for the Varsity basketball team. I continue to do well academically holding a 3.7 grade point average and have earned distinguished honor roll for four years. I am also a Gold Award Recipient in Girl Scouts---the highest award you can receive in Girl Scouts (2019), involved in various clubs, such as Varsity Club, Student Council, SADD Club, Key Club, and Young Life.
