Personal Statement
Hello! My name is Maria Sutton. I am currently attending Albert Gallatin Highschool where I take all Honors classes and a college in high school course. I work very hard with my studies to keep my grades up to recieve highest honors and a 4.0 every semester. I am a very good student athlete by finding the balance between athletics and academics even though it can be rough at times.
When it comes to softball, I’ve been playing ever since Tee-ball back when I was six years old. Every game I played I grew more and more passionate about the sport and everything it entails. Over the years, I faced physical/emotional obstacles all of which I took and grew from to make me the confident player I am today. From those obstacles, it helped and made me become a mentally strong player. I am able to feed off of high pressure/intensity times, never loose hope or be intimated durring games.
As a player, I can adapt to situations per instruction to better my game. I am never afraid to get dirty, as I would do anything to try and make a play. I am a very determined/serious mattered with a mindset to win. Which is why I always hustle and give my 110% every game, even then I analyze and find room for improvement. No matter the outcome I work day in and day out on my softball skills. When I am not at practice for school/travel ball I am working by myself or at the gym building up my strengths to improve my overall well-being.
Overall, I strongly feel what you put into something you will get out. I’ve been working hard over the years to be the best I can possibly be as a player. From my hard work and dedication I hope to fufill my dream of futhering my education and softball career by becoming a collegiate student athlete.
