I have a strong desire to use my knowledge and skills to improve my life and the lives of those around me. I believe a background in engineering will best enable me to improve upon my natural skills to have the biggest impact in this world. Currently I am academically in the 10th percentile in my class, and have achieved excellence awards in diverse courses, including Art, Robotics, and Auto Mechanics.
I am very passionate about softball and I really love to compete at the highest level. I had the opportunity to play at the ASA national tournament at the 14U level, which was really exciting for me. As a Freshman, I was the starting shortstop on our varsity team, and lead the team hitting with a batting average of .431. This was the first year our school softball team had ever made it to the playoffs, and I was selected to represent our school for state all stars. My sophomore year, we finished third in our division out of 18 teams, and we are well positioned to win states next year.
It is difficult for me to describe my character attributes. I am often recognized for my work ethic because I am always trying hard and looking for ways to improve. If I were to make an error in a game, or not hit so well, I would have my dad or coach work with me extra after the game. I always maintain a positive attitude in the dugout and with my teammates, and I always try to motivate my teammates to do their very best.
