My aspirations are to become a future medical student and eventually go into the medical field of anesthesiology. I want to be a student that is always increasing my knowledge and my skills in whatever I choose to pursue, whether it be on the field or in the classroom. I have the desire to play the game of the softball on the highest level possible, while also pursuing my career goals in an atmosphere that will allow me to grow and become a better person physically, mentally, spiritually, and athletically. I desire to be a role model for my younger siblings and for my present teammates that will allow them to see that with desire, dedication and hard work anything is possible.
As a player of the game, I try to be a sponge and soak up any relevant information that will help me take my game to a higher level. I try to be the best player I can be in whatever role my coaches have asked me to play. As a utility player, I have acquired the ability to play all positions in the game and benefit my team where needed. I am someone who believes that trophies are won at practice, so I give 100% during practice time in effort to play with the same intensity when I put on a uniform at game time. I believe that I am a student both in and out of the classroom, and it is with this knowledge in mind that I refer to myself as a scholar athlete. Through self-motivation, and with the support of my family I currently have a 3.59 GPA and it is my desire to take this same determination to the softball field. I have played in several major showcases with my current travel team, Crush, based out of Greenville, SC. I was elected captain of my high school team my junior year for our varsity team as well as I am a three year varsity player (I chose to focus on academics my sophomore year.).
I am excited to be at this juncture in my life. I am enjoying all of the things that senior year of high school throws at me, while also looking forward to what the next step will be in my academic and athletic career in my life. I don't know where I will end up, but I do know that I have a set of skills that I am bringing with me that I am sure can help me continue to play an important role in whatever team I join.
