Personal Statement
I have loved the sport of softball for as long as I can remember. Although I enjoy other sports, I believe that God has granted me the athletic ability and skill to compete in softball at the collegiate level. My goal is to attend a University aligned with my family and Christian values that can provide me with an outstanding education to prepare me for a future in the medical field, as well as to play on a highly competitive team, create lifelong friendships, and build character for my future endeavors. I am very competitive by nature. I thrive at succeeding in clutch situations and helping my team win at the highest level. The competition is not limited to the field. It often carries over to everyday life. I often compete for grades and academic successes as well. I believe that the only way to succeed at something is to challenge yourself and push yourself to the limits. Softball has taught me to be dedicated, hardworking, and a team player, both on and off the field. It has also provided me with a rigid schedule and has required me to learn time management skills and perseverance. My expectations for the next four years are to continue to work to increase my skills, speed, strength, and improve my overall statistics. I plan to charge forward and not be hesitant when I compete at the high school level in order to earn my spot on a college team to continue to give to the sport that I love.
