Anna McCarthy '20 Recruiting Profile

I am a 5'6 catcher, center fielder and 2nd baseman  from Hendersonville, TN. I will graduate in 2020 and currently a starter on the varsity team at Hendersonville High School. Softball is a huge part of my life and because of it, I am who I am today.

My parents have instilled a code of faith, honesty, work ethic, and perseverance in both myself and my brother. Due to this I have carried it over to the game and have become a passionate player and team member. 

Academics are also of high importance to me. I want to attend a college that will challenge me academically as well as one that helps me down a path to pursue a promising career. Currently the medical field interests me, but I am currently exploring all avenues. In high school, I am enrolled in honors classes with a 3.6 GPA and maintain A's and B's. I will also be taking college credit courses during my senior year.

Softball has taught me countless of lessons and I have failed many times, but it has taught me how to learn from my mistakes and work on making myself not only a better person, but a better player. I am always willing to take advice that will enable me to become a better player and more competitive catcher behind the plate.
