Catherine McLachlan '20 Recruiting Profile

I am currently a rising junior at Sycamore High School.  

I am enrolled in a dual enrollment program which gives me the opportunity to earn approximately 60 college credits while I am in high school.  My current GPA is 4.0 with Sycamore high school and Austin Peay State University and I currently have a 28 on my ACT. My career plans are to ultimately be a neonatologist.  I have many years of college ahead of me and would absolutely want softball to be in the first four years of my college career.

Softball has always been a major part of life. I have always wanted to grow as a player and teammate as every season comes. My dedication has allowed me to be awarded all district player and MVP as a sophomore at Sycamore High School. The game of softball has always been more than a game to me; I have always loved the intellectual side of the game just as much. I love the game/ pitching because is a mental battle as well as athletic challenge when I am on the mound. The game of softball has and will always be more than a game, and I hope to be able to grow as a person and player through college softball.
