My name is Julie Blumhagen and I'm a freshman at Jack C. Hays High School in Buda Tx. I play shortstop and am looking forward to my first season at the 6A level.
I don't want to be just another good player (an individual). I want to be a contributor to the making of a great team (the whole).
I like to run the base paths aggressively but not recklessly. It irritates me to see a teammate give less than a 100%. But I use that as motivation to show by example what "all-out" effort looks like. I know I can't be perfect, but I can continually strive for excellence. I try to put forth this same attitude in the classroom as well.
