Softball has become a big part of my life as I have learned so much about myself from it. My admiration and dedication for this sport drives me to lead in good character and leadership. Stepping onto the field fills me with joy and throughout each year that I continue to play softball my interest in it only grows. I strive to get better at everything that I am given the opportunity to do, especially in my batting. I refuse to settle with what I already know because I believe that there is always room for improvement no matter how much you may already know. I am always eager to learn and receive many helpful tips from anyone who is willing to help. I am responsible, both, academically and athletically. As a captain for my current high school team, I have learned to lead by example and to always be respectful and responsible with all of my duties. I am able to maintain good grades, as I am in the top 10% of my junior class, and I make it a priority to stay ahead with my work so it does not interfere with my practices and games. Making sure that you practice how you play is important to be because I believe that you should always play your heart out no matter if it is a practice or a game. I look forward to what the future has in store for me with softball!
