Personal Statement
Hi! My name is Presley Richardson. I am currently a junior at Hughes Springs ISD located in Hughes Springs, Tx. I play travel softball with Texas Athletics on the 16u team. I want coaches to understand that I love playing softball and I am willing to go wherever an opportunity stands for me. I started playing softball when I was six years old. I never knew I could love a sport so much. I played everywhere on the field when I first started. Now, my primary positions are third and first base. Even though those are my primary positions and I feel most comfortable there, I still keep my options open when it comes to playing in the field.
My freshman year, I struggled mentally and physically. I was still very passionate about the game, but my execution levels weren’t exceeding my expectations. I hungered for more. I worked hard all season, all summer, and continued to work until sophomore season rolled around. My skills, my passion for the game, and my confidence began to rise like never before. I had never been so excited for a practice or a game. I wasn’t scared to step onto the field. I knew what I had to offer and I couldn’t wait to use my potential to help my team. Now, I am about to start my junior year and I couldn’t be more excited.
I am a team player and want to do anything to help my team. I care so much about each and every girl that I play with. I encourage them every time I step on the field because I know how much it helps them mentally. It helps them and myself play a better game. I also work on and off the field. I want to better myself. I want to be the best I can be for my team and the people around me. I hope you will consider me as a good asset to your team. I hope to hear from you!
