Personal Statement
One of the hardest things I have endured was finding out the type of player I was. I've been to many tournaments and attended many practices. I've done just about what every other player has done. But one thing that I can truly say is that some people have rarely done is come back with a strong and successful season after a knee surgery. After having an intense surgery on my left knee, I was determined, with the support of my family, to get back to the player I was. That never happened though, because I came back better and stronger. Being without playing for seven months showed me that this was really what I wanted to do and I wanted to continue throughout my college career.
I ached to be on the field and practice one more time. This is when I realized and saw the type of player I really was. I put in the work throughout all my therapy, took care of myself, and practiced what I could every time I was given the freedom to do something more advanced. I saw something I never thought I would ever see in myself and it has motivated me every day to be the player I strive to be and continue to be throughout my college years. This led me into my Junior year, having one of my best seasons yet and helping lead my team to playoffs. Individually, it portrayed the enormous amount of hardwork and dedication I put into my comeback. I know that this is what is able to set me apart from other players.
