Personal Statement
My family, teachers, and friends always push me to do my best and I think they are the reason I am who I am today. I have competed in many tournaments and placed in the top three every time. I found out that I was in love with Softball when I first started playing coach pitch. I was the happiest when I was on the field. Everything about the sport was just really fun and interesting to me and it continues to be to this day. As I have played I have learned that I push myself as hard as I can to do my best. I strive to better myself so that I can help the team be at its strongest point. In high school, I hope to have high "A's" in all my classes. I already have two high school classes, algebra, and ag. In both of those classes, I have "A's". In college, I hope to excel in all my classes. To get to where I am today I have had to overcome some obstacles. I went a whole year on a team not playing and sitting on the bench. Even though I sat the bench I still tried my best at practices and when I did play I tried my best. I went through a stage of confusion on that team because they would use me as an example and tell my teammates to do it like me and then I never got used in a game. It got to a point where I did not enjoy playing, but I tried out for a new team and I brought what I picked up from my old team and made the team. Now I get playing time in my positions and I have an amazing coach that helps me understand the game more than I already did. Besides Softball, I academically, I really enjoy science and I am pretty good at math. In my free time, I sometimes like to build things and I also enjoy burning designs into wood. I pick up on thing pretty quickly, so it makes learning new skills easier and more fun to help others learn it too.
