Personal Statement
HI! My name is Kendal Faith Wiley and I am from the small town of Quitman, TX. Being from a small town gave me the opportunity to try every sport until I found my passion, softball. There is nothing like the smell of the fresh cut grass, the dirt in your hands or the beautiful sound of the ball hitting that sweet spot.
My love for the game is unconditional no matter if it is a game, practice or cheering from the stands. I started playing softball at age 6 and started my select journey when I was 10. Each year has shown me a different aspect of the game to love and embrace. I love being part of a team and have a competitive spirit. Being a great teammate is very important to me and I strive everyday to find ways to be better for my team.
I take great pride in meeting challenges in the classroom head on. I always try to lead by example and be the best person I can be.
I am backed by an amazing family that supports my dreams and goals of playing college softball 100%. I am very grateful for the sacrifices my family has made in the pursuit of my dreams. My Army brother is one of my biggest supporters no matter where he is stationed in the world. I am thankful for the support system God has blessed me with.
