Racquelle McClain '12 Recruiting Profile

I am 5'10, I am 149 pounds. I have been playing softball for 11 years now and have been awarded MVP 5 times out the 11 yrs. I just recently hit my first out of the park homerun in a game against Northbrook High School. I hit them often during practice. I have always dreamed about playing Softball on the college level, and it would be the best dream come true if i really get the chance to play. I've always strived to do my best, no matter how the game was going i always tried my best to keep the team in high spirit. Softbal is my true passion in life an i hop to see myself in college on the field. I would love to go to college in my home state of Louisiana, prefferably Baton Rouge or New Orleans. Honestly anywhere with a field and a team would be nice, and of course provide the courses i would like to be in. Recieving a scholarship at this point in time will be the only way i get into college. My family in in a finacial situation right now and looking into the government with this government shutdown trying to take place my mom might lose her job. If a scholarship isn't available to me i will still try my best to get into college but i know it will be extremly hard to pay for. my desired major is anestheseiology. My goals for college softball are to play as a freshamn, play in a big name competition, have a connection with my teamates, and come together with them as a team.
