Personal Statement
I have been playing softball for 4 years. Although I started late I push myself and continue to improve year after year. I chose softball not knowing anything about it and now I have been a starter on Varsity since my freshman year and a starter on my Select/Travel team. In addition to my Select/Travel team, I work with private hitting, fielding and agility coaches. This has given me the ability to play multiple position in the middle infield and outfield. I work with them weekly so I can take things that I am not strong in and improve them which in turn will make me a better player.
I received first team all-district academic honors . I have always taken as much pride in my education as my athletics. During my free time, when I am not traveling for softball, I volunteer at the CIty animal shelter.
I am open to many types of schools although I would prefer one in which I could major in Veterinary Medicine/ Animal Science and prefer an HBCU. These are preferences but are not mandatory. Playing this sport I have learned to build character and how to build confidence in myself and in others.
