Belle Kay '19 Recruiting Profile

I am looking for a college that will meet my academic and athletic needs.  I am a Center fielder with a good bat.  I also play utility out field as well as Short Stop.  I am a very fast base runner as well.  I am very willing to play any position that my team needs me to play.  I play for the Utah Renegades since Fall 2013 when the team was first formed.  I played for the Oquirrh Mountain Girls Softball Association (recreation softball league) prior to the Utah Renegades.  I began playing when I was 9 years old.

I love softball!  I was a competitive dancer with the No Sweat Dance Company for 12 years finishing the final 4 years placing 1st place at Nationals in my division.  I was dancing competitively and playing softball for 3 years.  When the Utah Renegades was formed and I made the team I wanted to concentrate on just softball.  I continually work on building my strength up through calastenics and weight lifting.  I run a 5k at least once a week to continually build my endurance level.  I participate in the high school open gym's every winter to continue to build my skill and to learn from different coaches.  I also work with a private hitting coach to continue to build my hitting skills.  I am currently in the 8th grade and attend Copper Mountain Middle School.  As I move into high school I will attend Herriman High School.  I volunteer with the Oquirrh Mountain Girls Softball program working with the younger girls to improve their skills as well.

I am a dedicated player and loyal to my team and teammates.  I continually look to my coaches for feedback on how I can improve.  I attend all practices, games and tournaments.  I am not afraid of hard work.  I believe that athletes make great leaders and that being an athlete helps me to focus on my education and keeps me focused on a course that will provide a secure life for me in the future.
