Lauren Woodall '21 Recruiting Profile

      Growing up, I have always had a passion for sports. I started out at a young age playing baseball. I played travel as well as Little League, making all-star teams with the boys and learning at an early age how to compete on every rep. Competing with boys helped build my competitive nature and make me good under pressure. Once I started playing softball, my love for the game became even stronger. I was able to make life long friendships and learn from amazing coaches that I look up to.  Not only has this sport enabled me to play with and against top skilled athletes, but it has also allowed me to learn the value of teamwork, commitment and sacrifice. Theses are three qualities that do not show up in a video, but are traits that I am proud to bring to every team I've been apart of.                                                 

         Grit is a key word that I would use to describe my character.  Someone with grit has relentless passion and perseverance. I  devote myself to achieving goals and working hard in a sport that gives me joy and purpose.  I rise to the occasion and give my best in any situation. I am a goal oriented  and self motivated individual. I have the talent and mindset to compete at the next level but also to make an impact on your program. I work hard in the classroom to be the best student I can be. It is important to me to find a school that is a good fit for me academically and athletically. I am grateful to be able to play such a incredible sport and glorify God in all I do on and off the softball diamond!
