I am currently a junior at Skyline High School in Front Royal, Virginia where I maintain a 3.47 GPA. I'm 67 inches tall and weigh 145 pounds. My primary position is third base, with a back-up position of short stop...and I have the capability to play any position on the team. My speed from Home to First is 2.68 seconds and from Home to Home 11.81 seconds. My most important accomplishments are my high academic average in school (I take all honors and AP Courses), and that our Skyline Varsity Softball Team won the District Championship this past season. I was honored to be a contributor to that championship team, leading the team and the district in batting (.447 average) and named as the Offensive Player of the Year and Most Valuable Player for our team. I was also named First Team All-District and Second Team All-Area. I pride myself on being the hardest worker on the team, practicing softball hitting and fielding year round, and working on my physical fitness daily. I am the first one on the field each day and the last one to leave each day. I love the team aspect of playing softball and encourage each person on our team to do her best for our team. It is my dream to play softball at the college level and to achieve the highest level of competition possible during my college career. It's also my dream to major in Political Science in college, and to later attend a first tier law school to earn a Juris Doctor Degree. My life goal is to be a lawyer who contributes to both society and to my community to make it better. I also want to help others solve legal problems in a way that contributes to society. Finally, I hope to always be a participant in softball, now as a player and contributor to my team, and later as a coach to help other young girls learn about the greatness of team sports. My goal is to attend a college/university that is a top tier school academically, and one that also has a first class college softball program. I want to play softball at the highest competition level possible. Further, I want to be a strong contributor to my team, both in terms of my ability to play softball, but also in my ability to increase morale and teamwork among my fellow team mates. My preference is to stay on the east coast if possible, but would most certainly be honored to attend college and play softball as far away as Texas and the Midwestern part of the United States. It's important to me to play softball on a team with a winning tradition, and one that emphasizes the importance of teamwork as a requisite to winning. I have two remaining seasons of high school softball, and two remaining seasons of travel ball before I go to college. My goal is to work tirelessly (and year round) to increase my physical ability, and my softball skills to ensure I can compete at the highest possible level in college. I'm dedicated and a team player with an outstanding work ethic. At the same time, I'm focusing on my academics to ensure I can attend a first tier school. One thing is for sure: you will not find a harder working or more dedicated player and student anywhere in the country. Thanks for taking the time to learn about me and thanks even more for your consideration of playing softball at your college.
