Personal Statement
My dream is to play college softball. I started playing travel ball when I was 11, after my family and I moved to South Georgia from Germany; my dad is in the Army. After playing in GA for two years we moved to VA, the move was tough, I really loved and miss my teammates from GA but I found new opportunities in VA. I found Wagner's 3N2 which is a team made up of girls from FL and others from the Northeast like me. This year I was the starting catcher on my high school team and we as a team went from being one of the lowest ranked teams in the conference, last season, to 3rd in state. It was a great season and wonderful experience to play for and represent my school.
Academically, I am in the Cambridge Program at Brentsville High School. It is a demanding program that requires a lot of hard work. I finished my freshmen year with a 4.0 GPA.
My biggest goal in life is making it into a school and softball program that is a perfect fit for me and also for my new team. I train everyday to improve my skills and get more educated in the game of softball. School will always comes first though. I dream of being a catcher at a great school with a top notch softball program, preferably also the most competitive! I am not afraid of working hard and earning my position. I want to compete with, and be one of the best of the best which is why I accepted the offer to play on an 18u Gold team and compete for a catching position with three other catchers, all who are older and bigger than me, when I was 14 and in the 9th grade. I find myself catching a lot-actually most of the time, I love it when hard work pays off!
