Personal Statement
My name is Erin Fennell and I am a Junior at Mountlake Terrace High School. For the last 8 years I have been committed to fast pitch softball. I really enjoy the structure of my travel team's practices which are prepared to be more difficult than the actual games. The high energy of all the softball team's events match my passion for my primary position of center field - I like to utilize my God given talent of speed!
Knowing that I have the ability to play softball in college makes me more driven for those extra practices with my parents and to put more work in. I want to be the best possible teammate as the camaraderie of my fellow players is vital for personal growth and success.
When it comes to choosing what college I would like to go to, I am still young and open to any option. It doesn't matter about the size or location; if I can receive a good education and play softball I will be happy. My top two choices for a major as of right now are either Art or Interior Design. However, my major may change over the course of the rest of my high school career.
I made the varsity softball team as a freshman, even though we only had 2 total practices because of Covid and as a sophomore I was the starting center fielder every single game and my personal goal as a Jr is to help lead our team to state.
