Hi Coach,
Thank you for looking at my profile! I love softball and playing collegiate level ball has been a goal of mine since the 8th grade. My coaches describe me as a workaholic because when given the chance I always put in extra work on and off the field. I have maintained a 3.87 GPA through my first two years of college, while taking STEM classes required for a biology degree.
I throw five pitches to location: fastball, curveball, riseball, dropball, and knuckle changeup. I am also currently working on an off-speed drop ball.
My Aspirations
I want to play collegiate softball on a competitive team so I am eager to work for this goal. I am prepared to outwork my competition to do so. I've always had to prove myself and work hard to stay competitive and I'm not only willing but excited to keep doing it for another 2 years after my time at EvCC.
My Character
Along with my strong work ethic, I am also coachable and eager to play. I have always been devoted to the game and I have never shied away from the fact that success comes with hard work. I also participate in good free time hobbies like reading, writing, and music which helps me stay out of trouble. Almost all of my free time is taken up with extra pitching practice, school, and hobbies such as art and writing.
I tore my ACL in 2021 and I have been in recovery since my surgery last June. It has been a battle, but I think it has made me a tougher athlete. My coaches didn't think I would be ready for games, but I surprised them by coming in and succeeding in 4 games last season.
Conditioning
Along with pitching 4 times a week with practices, I lift weights, and I also run and swim for endurance. This is how I stay competitive with naturally very athletic girls. I've never been the fastest or the strongest player naturally, but my hard work has shown in the growth of my skills and athleticism. I pitch a minimum of three times per week, but I strive for four to five.
Accomplishments
In 2015 my Little League All-Stars team made it to the Little League World Series. We took 5th place after losing a tiebreaker to Central Iowa.
In 2016 my travel ball team came in 3rd place at the Western World Series in Las Vegas Nevada.
In the 2018 season, my team tied for 5th place out of 68 teams in the 16u TCS World Series in Reno Nevada. We also qualified for 16u Nationals in Federal Way Washington.
In the 2019 season, we did well in the TCS World Series again and came home with more wins, Also, so far in the fall, we have qualified for the National tournament in Oklahoma City.
In the fall of 2019, my travel team qualified for ASA Nationals in OKC but decided against going due to the pandemic.
2022 - fifth in NWACC tournament.
Thank you again for considering me for your team! Playing college ball is a dream I have worked hard to make a reality, but I don't want my story to end within the next two years. I'm ready to put in the work and I already have the drive to get there. All you have to do is give me that chance. Trust me you won't regret it! I hope we can continue communication in the future.
