When there is a challenge, there is room for achievement. Ever since I had started play the game of softball, I have faced multiple challenges. I have made mistakes, regrets and have been broken down, but I have persevered. I have fought through the mental and physical challenges that are carried within the game. I took in my failures and questions to grow and understand what it means to be committed, not just the game or academics, but to be committed to myself. I learned that it takes self motivation to achieve greatness. To achieve what I thought was not physically or even mentally possible at the level I played at. Over the years I have dedicated all of my time to improving myself, my academics and to my game, softball. I have grown into the want and passion of going above and beyond in sport while supporting my team and leading them to victory. One thing that really snagged my interests when I first started out had been the coaches. In the beginning, I played Little League at a park in Bonita Springs, Florida. My coaches had instilled a certain moral that I follow till this day: take pride in what you do, take pride in your team. I Have played on many teams including high school, travel and little league. No matter what happened, how games or practices went, I always stood by my teammates' side to the very end; I never gave in or gave up. I will take these same morals that I have a habit of to the field of the college that will represent. I will take these same morals of never giving up to the classroom and to my future career. I am very dedicated to goals of always improving where I need to. I have always been a person in which my team or classmates look up to; I enjoy helping people reach their goals or aiding those who are down in some way. I have always had the dreams of going passed high school as a college athlete and competing at levels I know I will excel at. I have always worked at improving my skill set, as well as learning new things that can help me and my team to achieving that win. I don't look at my teammates as just friends, I also see them as educators and motivators, just as I am to them. I build them up as well as they help me grow as an athlete. During college, I plan to learn new lessons and situations that will prepare me for what is next to come; I understand that going to a university would help me expand not just as an athlete, but as a person.
