I have been playing softball since I was 5 and it quickly became my all consuming world. I have learned how to play every position on the field. So as a utility player, I am always ready to help my team anyplace that I am needed. To make sure that I can live up to that, I play year round and attend camps in between seasons to keep up on physical skills but also my mental toughness.
My father spent 22yrs in the Army, the discipline, respect, team work, honesty, devotion to his country and his men; I have applied to my softball career. I am not one to shy away from adversity, if I make a mistake on the field, I immediately start the process to correct the problem by talking to my coaches and asking for advice or practicing the correct way to complete the play on my own time, so next time I am ready.
College has always been my goal. I work hard and stay focused on my academics because I want to be successful and well rounded in school and softball. I have not zeroed in on my exact major, but I am thinking about Psychology. One of the many reasons why I love the sport is the psychology that goes into the game and that makes a player like myself, elite.
