Personal Statement
Ever since I watched the University of Florida win the women's college world series in 2014, I knew that I wanted to play softball at the collegiate level. Since then, I fell more in love with the sport. Watching my older sister play four years of college softball inspired me as well. I love everything about softball and I believe that it is not just a sport, but a passion. I not only love the basic physical aspects of softball, but I love the mentality and the mental games involved as well. I understand that a huge part of softball is mental and you have to be tough mentally to play the game. I not only work hard at my physical skills, but also my mental skills so that I can be a positive teammate and a confident player. Nothing in life gets me more excited than getting to play what I love. I also work hard in the classroom because I know that although I love softball, it is not more important than my education. I am willing to push myself to do whatever needed by my coach and teammates.
I feel very blessed to play the sport I love now and I desire to play it as long as I can. I know softball does not last forever so I would love to spend as long as I possibly can playing it at the college that best suits me!
