Personal Statement
My names Alexis Topel, I’m a sophomore, class of 2019 at Lake Mills High School. I have been playing softball for 8 years, with 4 of those years being club ball. I developed my love of the game at a very young age and have been playing the game ever since then. For club ball I’ve been a starting catcher and back up midfielder. For the high school team, as a freshman I was starting shortstop on varsity with a 89.7 fielding percentage and was a two hitter the whole season. I also hold the school record for the most putouts in a season with 78. Also, earning the golden glove award as a freshman. I started playing club ball summer going into my eighth grade year for the Waukesha Firebirds. For the Waukesha Firebirds I was a third basemen along with backup catcher. My second year I played for the Wisconsin Thundercats. That year I was starting catcher and played outfield. My 3rd year I started playing for a higher level club team Rock River Stix, I will be playing for this team again this season. For Stix, I mainly am the catcher, shortstop, and centerfield. I also play basketball and run cross country. I played varsity basketball as a freshman. I started as a sophomore and have been chosen to be captain for the season of 2017-2018. I run as the 3 runner on the varsity cross country team. I would like to major in Business management and marketing. I’m looking to be a sports agent and working with athletes.
