Personal Statement
My name is Lynda Santiago, I am 17 years old. I have been playing softball for about 8 or 9 years, all mostly just park league nothing big. I started playing travel ball halfway through my sophomore year I believe., only because a good friend of mine came to me asking for a pitcher just for the game, they liked what they saw and asked if I was interested in playing for them. I did not hesitate in saying yes, I never planned on playing with a travel team only because we weren't really able to afford anything like that, but at that time I had the money to pay for my first year and I'm so grateful my parents were all in it as well. I could keep going but that would get old and were trying to get into the new. What makes me a good candidate for your team you may ask? I am a quick learner and a very teachable person, no matter how any time you want me to redo it i will until its the way you will like it done, i refuse to give up on the little things even if it makes me frustrated. I do believe I can make people excited about anything. I bring people up when they start coming down, there will probably never be a time when I don't have a smile on my face like you would be amazed on how that is even possible. I enjoy watching my teammates achieve in little things, win or lose its a game played with some of your closest friends. This may or maybe something very cheesy and has nothing to do with my skills, but I don't believe me telling you what I am able and unable to do for your team or myself will actually help you understand the type of person I am or what I am capable of until you see it yourself in person. What makes me different from other recruits? My character is one of a kind, you can ask anyone that has ever met me, I am the definition of one of a kind, although my grade right now is not the worst but not where I would like them to be I know I would be able to get them up to get where I need to be. This is probably the most unprofessionally written personal statement you may or may not have read, but this is who i am and the type of person I will be, and this makes me believe i would be perfect for any team. I could say I love the game but I don't think that would be the right words to use to describe the actual feeling I get even going to practice. This is something I would love to do for as long as I possibly can.
