Audra Putman '20 Recruiting Profile

My name is Audra Putman. I am a 5'9" 135 lb. Girl with a 4.1 GPA from North Alabama. I am part of the 2020 graduating class of Lindsay Lane Christian Academy. I love playing basketball and volleyball and will be honored to play either in college. I am thankful to God everyday for my athletic abilities.

My education is extremely important and is and will always be my main concern. Broadcasting/journalism is what I am interested in studying.  Sports management, sports analyst are also degrees/careers that interest me. I am also considering a major in Education. As you can see, I am really  undecided.

Our school has young, small teams and we are in our 2nd year in the AHSAA (1a) . Before joining Ahsaa, we were members of the ACAA and won a girls basketball state title. Being with those girls allowed me to learn a lot about leadership, and how to hold my own with much older teammates. I've learned how to lead by example on the court. I am able to stay calm during close games. I was honored and humbled that my coaches chose me as the captain of my varsity team this past season. We were able to compete and placed 2nd in our area. I was named as an ALL AREA player as a ninth grader, and invited by an opposing coach to play on his AAU team. God has blessed me! 

I am able to play sports, maintain a 4.0 GPA while taking accelerated AP classes, and I do strength and conditioning training with my trainer 3 mornings a week, for 1 hour sessions before school. My brother (13 years older)is a personal trainer/crossfit instructor that took me into a gym for the first time when I was 11. He instilled a work ethic in me and has taught me to stay disciplined.
