Personal Statement
My name is Jordan Parker and I am entering my senior year at Chelsea High School in Chelsea, Alabama. I am 5'11 and weigh 150 lbs. My true position is a power forward but I am also comfortable playing small forward position and shooting guard.
I have done some research on the basketball program as well as some of the academic opportunities offered at the institution. I would love to learn more about the program.
While embarking upon my senior year, I am extremely excited about the upcoming basketball season. We had a productive season last year and I think we’re going to have a more successful season this year. Last year was the first time in almost twenty years the team won the Area tournament and the Area Championship. I was honored to be named team captain of this special team. We were also fortunate to make it to the State Tournament in as many years. Many of my teammates are returning this year and we are looking forward to making a run at the state title in 6A.
At the conclusion of the last season I was blessed to be named 1st Team All-Conference, 1st Team All-Metro Shelby County, 2nd Team All-Metro Jefferson County.
Looking towards the future, I have ambitions of playing college basketball next year. I am looking for a team and teammates that are as passionate about basketball as I am. I take the game serious because I know it provides athletes with a special platform to reach others in a positive way. I am also searching for a school that can provide me with a quality education second to none.
