McKenzie Newman '15 Recruiting Profile

Hi I'm McKenzie, I'm a 6'1" post player currently playing on the Varsity Basketball Team for Falkville High School in Alabama. I am extremely proud of the team that I am playing with as we made school history this year and went to the Final Four in State Play off.  I love being part of a team and am always working to keep the moral of the other players up even when the score is down.  I always say to them  "Never give up". 

Prior to moving to Falkville I played for Vinemont High School Varsity team for 3 years and was voted Team Captain. During the last year at Vinemont I was awarded  the most blocked shots and most points.  While Basketball is my main sport I also love to keep active and play other sports which include Volleyball and Softball.  During my Sophomore year I was awarded All County Volleyball for Cullman County Volleyball Team.

Currently I have a 4.0 GPA and ranked 6 out of 55 in our graduating class of 2015.  I am very interested in attending school somewhere in the southern states if possible but am open to all options.  My main goal is to make sure to find a College that offers the academics that I need to continue my education to become an Athletic Trainer.  Once I have a couple of years of on the job experience I would like to go back to get my PhD in Sports Psychology.
