Kaytlin McAnelly '24 Recruiting Profile

I'm Kaytlin McAnelly and I have been playing competitive basketball since 7th grade. When I first tried out for basketball I immediately fell in love with it and knew it was something I wanted to do. Basketball has made me a super competitive person on and off the court. I am a great teammate and will do all that I can to help my team succeed. For all four years of my basketball career, I have been the high scorer more often than not and a leader of the team. I also excel at defense and always guard the opposing team's best player. I was a captain every year I played basketball as well. I have great stamina and endurance and have often played entire games. I am currently a junior at Soldotna Highschool. In my off-season, I run cross country and track. I have been varsity and have gone to state in both those sports as well. Although I am very good at athletics, I am also very good academically. I am two years ahead in math and have done honors and AP classes every time I get the opportunity. I am ranked at the top of my class and always strive to do great. Although I am very blessed to be naturally athletic and great at what I do, I always strive to be better. I do not settle for being good and I work to be great. I am a very hard worker and give everything I do my all. I am very coachable and dedicated to my team. I am at the gym improving my skills every chance I get. I will be a great asset to your team.
