Personal Statement

My name is Wrenwyck Ijiwoye but I go by Shay and I'm a thrilling 2024 point guard! I'm in the 9th grade at Desert Vista High School in Phoenix, Arizona and I am a very good student with a 3.85 GPA.

I play club for Arizona Elite under Coach Brian Porth and I start as point guard for Elite Prep as a freshman. I'm known for being an aggresive defender but I take an enormous amount of pride in being a vocal leader and controlling my team's offense. Being a threat offensively and defensively is my biggest strength!

I may have a number of awards and accomplishments, but I am most proud of leading my team to the 28.5 League Championship in December of 2020 as freshman. This was the league's inaugural season and winning the chamionship was a huge achievement for my team and I.

I've been told I am an impact player with a great motor. When I'm not playing basketball, I love to read, watch games and film, hang out with friends and family, and volunteer my time helping others.
