Alex Hill '21 Recruiting Profile

I am a 5'10" Point Guard from Harrison, AR.  I have been blessed to have been a part of a very successful Jr High and Varsity basketball program at Alpena High School.  Our team won back to back Conference, District, and Regional Championships, as well as consecutive State Final 4 Appearances in 2019 and 2020.  During Regional and State Tournament play, I averaged 20 points, 7 rebounds, 4 steals, 6 assists, and 3 blocks per game.  I was selected All Conference and All State in 2019 and 2020, as well as named to the 1A State All-Tournament Team both years.  

In addition to basketball, I participate in track and have played volleyball for 5 years.  I have won a total of 6 individual State Track Championships, as well as being the Girls High Point Athlete and a part of the 1A State Track Championship team in 2019.

Academics is of utmost importance to me, so my choice of college will be largely based that.  I have a 4.0 unweighted GPA and was ranked 1^st in my class at Alpena and am 1st out of 183 students at Harrison.

I believe in the team concept, and I pride myself in being a good teammate and team leader always trying to lead by example.  I am always looking for ways to improve my game and always up for a challenge.  Due to teammate injuries and leaving the program this year, I have had to become a more versatile player and develop my ability to play positions 1-4 on the floor.  I have a high basketball IQ and great court vision, which allow me to distribute the ball well.  On the season I averaged a 3:1 assist to turnover ratio. 

I am working on pursuing my dreams of playing basketball at the collegiate level.  I am looking for a college program that fits my style of play.  I love an up-tempo game and using my defensive pressure and speed to create opportunities offensively.
