One of my collegiate goals is to be a successful basketball player, constantly improving and refining my athletic skills. Being 6 foot and very mobile, I am versatile in my contributions on the court. One of the important things I have learned in playing the game of basketball is that I can push myself harder both physically and mentally than I thought was possible. I have developed a great amount of determination and competitiveness in achieving victory. Also, I have discovered that I like being a team player on and off the court as my teammates and I play unselfishly together on the court and have great chemistry off the court. I aspire to continue this experience on the collegiate level.
I have always put academics first before basketball as I realize my future depends on getting a quality education. Since seventh grade, I have made straight A's in my courses at school. As this is my junior year in high school, I am currently taking advanced upper level classes and I plan on graduating in the top of my 2019 senior class.
I always strive to do my best in whatever I do whether it be helping people, academics, or basketball. Although I am extremely competitive, aggressive, and like to win on the court, it is my sportsmanship, positive attitude, and humility that I value most and take pride in when playing basketball. This is why I chose to play on the summer club traveling River Valley Heat Adidas 3 Team whose most important purpose was to glorify God in actions on and off the court. As a result, we were very successful among the best competition this summer as we had a 32-7 record in playing in competitive tournaments such as Nationals in Frisco, Texas and Conway, AR. We usually placed 1st, 2nd, or 3rd in tournaments.
In conclusion, in recruiting me, you are not only getting a quality basketball player but the whole package as an all-around person who can be a great asset to your collegiate women's basketball team.
