I am only 16 years old, and I have been given the opportunity to be able to play basketball for 8 years now. I hope that I am given the opportunity to continue to play the sport I love in college, and for as long as possible. I not only pride myself with my performance in basketball but I also pride myself with my performance in school. I have always tried to keep my grades at A's, and I have always tried to push myself with honors classes and AP classes. I have always been determined to succeed in both school and basketball.
I think I would be a good candidate for any team because I am determined. I am determined to rise to any occasion, to any challenge that one throws at me. I will go 100% on and off the court. Additionally, I believe that I am a kind and coachable person/player. I have always listened to my coaches, and have tried to add my own insight to things, if possible. I have always tried to be nice to everyone around me and help whenever someone needs it.
I have been playing basketball since I was 8 years old. I used to watch my older sister, who has had a major impact on why I am the player I am today, play on her team but I wasn't old enough yet to play so I would just watch on the sidelines. From the very moment I was able to step foot on the court I knew that this is what I loved, that this sport is what would push me to be a better person. Basketball has helped me stay focused on what's really important; my family, school and well basketball. No matter where I am in my near future or even in the far future I hope that I am able to continue to play the one thing that truly brings me joy; basketball.
