Playing collegiate-level women's basketball has been my goal since kindergarten. As a student-athlete at a rigorous academic high school, I’ve worked hard to balance my schoolwork and training.
Last summer, I was honored to be nominated by former Penn State Lehigh Valley Coach Lori Khalil to play in the United World International Games, where 25 countries participated. I was very fortunate to be coached by two incredible coaches, Utica College’s Coach Michelle Davis and Sage College at Albany’s Coach Allison Coleman. I played as a starter, and our team secured a silver medal. The competition broadened my perspective on basketball and pushed me to grow as both a player and a teammate.
Primarily, I’m a combo guard, but over the past two high school seasons and at the international games, I’ve played multiple positions based on my team’s needs. These experiences have helped me develop a deeper understanding of the game, allowing me to anticipate plays and adapt quickly to various roles. I take pride in my ability to contribute wherever needed and in my commitment to continuous growth both on and off the court.
Last season, I was honored to be chosen as a captain, not just for my basketball skills but also for my leadership and character. I make it a priority to support my teammates, clarify plays when they’re confused, and offer encouragement when they need it. My goal was always to help my teammates grow throughout the season, both individually and as a team.
I believe these qualities, combined with my passion for the game, make me a strong candidate for a collegiate basketball team.
