Personal Statement

I Want To Make A Difference. I Want To Help. I Want To Be Meaningful.

I am a driven student athlete with a variety of goals and dreams. I strive for high level grades and high level play. As the oldest child of four, I enjoy mentoring and caring for my siblings. I love working with the Rocklin youth basketball program as a student coach and referee.

From a very young age, my parents have instilled in me the meaning of personal responsibility, self sacrifice and the value of hard work. I think these traits are important not only in basketball and academics but more importantly in life. I bring these teachings and values with me onto the court, into the classroom and through my personal relationships. I've also learned and understand the importance of being a team player. I am not always the best player on the court, I've played besides some fantastic girls, I know my role, my abilities and what my contributions mean. I like being a focal point but I understand when I'm best utilized as a role player. When the time comes and the team needs a leader, I am always ready to go to work.

I enjoy learning and hearing new ideas. I try to work with coaches and teachers to become a well rounded, thoughtful student athlete. I don't quit. I keep driving forward in everything I do.

NCSA COLLEGE RECRUITING®

NCSA College Recruiting® (NCSA) is the nation’s leading collegiate recruiting source for more than 500,000 student-athletes and 42,000 college coaches. By taking advantage of this extensive network, more than 92 percent of NCSA verified athletes play at the college level. The network is available to high school student-athletes around the country through valued relationships with the NFLPA, FBU, NFCA and SPIRE. Each year, NCSA educates over 4 million athletes and their parents about the recruiting process through resources on its website, presentations of the critically-acclaimed seminar College Recruiting Simplified, and with Athletes Wanted, the book written by NCSA founder Chris Krause.
