I am a 5'10" athlete completing my second year of college academics and athletics at Lake Michigan College. As a Red Hawk I play guard, small forward, and occasionally the post position. In the 2013-2014 season our team finished 7th at the national tournament to which I played a vital role as the 3 position player. This season I am team co-captain for Coach Cooper. On both my high school and club teams I played a 2/3 guard . I have 7 years of club basketball experience and played varsity for 4 seasons at Canon City High School (a starter the last three years of high school). I love defense and accept every challenge to guard the opponent's best player. I am a highly coachable athlete who is motivated and perseveres in every avenue of play.
I feel like I can contribute, be an asset, and make an impact to any program that I fit into. I am searching for a college/university which will challenge me academically in my areas of interest that include business & communications and environmental science. I will balance athletics and academics to be the best I can be at both. I would like to be in a positive college environment in which I can also make an impact in the community.
I am interested in Division I & II colleges/universities academically and athletically. I will be transferring upon completion at Lake Michigan College spring 2015 for LMC is a junior college. I will be applying for financial aid as I come from a single parent home and would like to lessen the financial burden on my mother and myself and continue to play basketball as well as earn a great education.
