Personal Statement
Ever since I moved in with my dad and it has always been my dream to attend Stanford, or any fantastic college. I never really thought about college until fifth grade and actually my dad was the one that inspired me and made me want to go to not just a college but a great college. Fifth grade was when I began to learn that I had the smarts to go to college, and not only that but the very next year in sixth grade I realized I had the athletic ability as well, and we ended up almost going to the championships for basketball and I thank my coaches Ike and Dean for pushing me then and even now. But overall I can say that college has been my biggest dream, and following that getting into a career where I can help people. My first goal is to join senate this year and hopefully with my GPA become valedictorian and president for my graduating class. Along with that my second goal is to become one of the best volleyball or basketball players Jefferson High School has ever seen and to also improve my basketball stats from this last year due to a concussion I had. My third goal is to hopefully get a full ride scholarship either on sports or grades ( GPA is 4.07) to Stanford, or another college I've dreamed about going to. Last but not least my aspirations are to keep playing basketball because even through the rough times basketball was really the thing that kept me going and I couldn't live without basketball. My life is basketball and that's why I keep improving so hopefully i can use it to get me to places.
