Personal Statement
I am a student athlete at Ellicott High school, where I plan to play for the rest of my high school basketball career. As a freshman I had no trouble being able to jump right in and mix it up with our upper class-man. I am not afraid to get on the floor after a loose ball, but even after an intense practice I always make the effort to give all my players a high-five and tell them "Good Job." Before every game I play, I make sure I go and shake hands, introducing myself to the officials that are officiating the game. Although I wouldn't be on the court if I didn't have my grades. I make sure that I have all my work done before I step on the court to play basketball. "If you can't be trusted in the class room, how can you be trusted on the court," that is a quote that keeps me motivated. I hope to make it to the state play-offs before my senior year and I hope to be valedictorian of my class. It is a long bumpy road but I am willig travel it to make my dreams of playing college basketball come alive.
