Personal Statement
I was raised to be very detail-oriented, paying close attention to detail, and no matter what I'm doing, doing it to my best potential, or as my mom would say, to the glory of god. I was raised around a lot of younger siblings, always helping out, so maintaining a lot of responsibility is super familiar. I also grew up around ballers. I was always watching basketball, staying inspired. Over the years, I have gotten to know where I stand on regards on strengths and weaknesses, in many different aspects. Overall, I'd consider myself a very versatile player. I am very familiar, and honestly quite comfortable with just about any position I am put in. I am most familiar with being a perimeter player for the most part. Being a perimeter player doesn't mean I only like shooting 3's. Although I can sink a 3 quite undeniably, I also love driving to the basket and being a great force. With doing so, I like to get that And1 call, although I don't always get them, I stay pristine on the free throw line. Making my free throws is super crucial, for not only is there 0 defense, but only the immense feeling of pressure. I don't ever like being stingy with the ball though. I strive for good opportunities for my teammates, for being a team player, is when I'm being the best player. Now, offense doesn't win basketball games, so I like to also maintain lockdown defense. Once business is handled on the defensive end, I am more than happy to then handle some more business offensively. But I for sure am looking to get a stop first. Overall I'd like to consider myself to be very humbled, and honestly blessed. Each experience has gotten me where I am now, and I want to pursue and keep growing from this passion as long as I can.
