Hello, my name is Megan Drews I go to Riverdale Ridge High School. I'm really looking forward to going to college to Major in Business, its something that is very important in today's life and I want to pursue that. I've been playing basketball ever since I was 4 and I love the game more than anything. Being able to be on a team and come as one to do great things is always fun. You get to meet new people and learn everyone's strengths and weaknesses which is a big part of being a teammate. There is always someone that is more talented at a skill like rebounding, making 3 pointers, or even ball-handling, and when two or more people come together with those skills they can show how strong they are as a player as well as teammates too. Being on a team and working together and being positive can take you a long way. I always like to pump everyone up and make them smile even at bad times. Sometimes things don't work out as planned but never giving up is the most important part of playing basketball, my coaches always tell me to give it my all even if we're losing by 30 points. A goal that I always shoot for is that I'm a student-athlete and no matter what, I give the same effort ln my academic as I do in my athletics because I can only become a better player if I become a better student and that is very important to me.
