Throughout my life, my family has had a huge impact on me. They have always supported me and my decisions. I began to play basketball at the age of 6. I knew that it was the sport for me as soon as I began playing. I have learned that I will never give up, and I will work to earn what I deserve. The competitiveness of basketball has taught me that nothing comes easy, and you need to prove yourself and your abilities at all times. In high school, my academic goals are to maintain my GPA and to finish in the top 5% of my class. I have a strong work ethic both in and out of the classroom. My lifelong dream has been to be in the medical field as either a nurse or an APRN, and I look forward to beginning to fulfill that dream in my college years.
Throughout playing basketball, I struggled with my confidence and was worried that I was never good enough. As I continued to play over the years, I grew as a person and a player to get to where I am today. I continue to make personal achievements every time I pick up the ball. I am caring, empathetic, and strong-willed. I am a team player and have always put in the hard work necessary for our team to have success. I have exactly what it takes to play at the next level.
