Personal Statement
Hello, my name is Ra'mya. I am 16 years old from Washington D.C. As long as I can remember I have had a special love for the game of basketball for the longest. I still work every summer on basketball skills and conditioning to get better, stronger, and continue to improve. Before the pandemic every Sunday willing, I would train and do strength and conditioning plus work and develop my basketball skills. During the week I would always make sure after school I practiced my ball handling, work on layups, and shooting. There is always room to improve but my 3 point shot is continuing to get better, I have developed a mid-range shot, and in the paint game is improving along with my ball handling. If you think about recruiting me just know you have a hardworking committed girl ready to take any challenge giving to me. Not afraid to learn and is willing to do whatever it takes to pursue her goals and dreams. I will always be dedicated from the start to the end. My academics have improved tremendously since last year. You should look forward to them to keep growing higher. My character as a person is always there to help kind of character. When watching basketball I study the positives and negatives of the team as I do myself. Also when watching basketball and training I pay attention to detail. I do not view basketball as a one-woman sport, I view it as an opportunity to develop people skills while playing a game you love. I am a rising junior in the class of 2022 and I really would like to continue my education after high school while playing the game I love basketball. For whoever views my profile please take from all this as a 16-year-old girl from Washington, D.C. here to make/keep your program healthy and great with the abilities to work hard and an enormous love for the game.
