First Team All-Dade County 2014, Third Team All State, 19 PPG, 4.8 RPG, 3 APG, 55% field goal percentage, 38% 3 point percentage, 83% free throw percentage. I currently have the school record for most points in a season (523) and free throw percentage (83%) I am a hard working, passionate, and dedicated basketball player for the Palmer Trinity Falcons. My ultimate dream would be to play basketball at the collegiate level as well as excel in my studies. The value I could bring to any college basketball team would be perimeter shooting, penetrating the paint strong, setting up my teammates, leadership, energy, and hustle. I first started taking basketball seriously in the seventh grade where I would lock myself in a gym for hours on end until I could perfect my skills. This kind of dedication is what has made me into the player I am today and is what earned me a spot on the Varsity team as a freshman.I have worked relentlessly to build myself into a more versatile player and strengthen my weaknesses such as ball handling and foot speed and develop my strengths such as shooting and passing It is such an amazing experience to play for Palmer Trinity along side my teammates and coaches. I was very humbled to know that my teammates voted me as team captain as a junior and view me as a worthy and enthusiastic leader and teammate.
My relentless passion for the game is what drives me to excel in the classroom as well as on the court. Much like basketball, I hadn't always started off as talented. I had to put in extra hours of homework, studying, and asking teachers for help in order to boost my grades. This kind of initiative is what landed me a 3+ GPA and put me in English and Chemistry Honors. I continue to look forward to excelling on the SAT's and ACT's as well as doing well in the rest of my classes as I know that these factors will help me get into the college of my dreams! I would love to study Business Management in college. While being a student athlete isn't always easy, it is definitely worth it in the end to know that I gave 110% to the game and to my studies. It is a privilege and an honor to call myself a student athlete and am extremely excited to embark on my college experience as a student athlete!
While basketball has taught me not only how to pass, dribble, shoot, etc. It has also taught me how to be a person of value and what it takes to be successful on and off the court. I hold myself to the highest standards which is why I continue to push myself to greater heights on the court and in the classroom. I look forward to the recruiting process and hope that I can gain valuable experiences as I go through it.
