I'm Misia McKinney, class of 2021. I aspire to become a better leader in college by, holding myself accountable in practice, helping my teammates get better by keeping them encouraged and picking them up when they need it and by making sure my teammates do not fall behind in school. I'm an excellent candidate for the team because I'm a judgment-free person that is willing to help anyone that needs it. For me, it's about uplifting the people that support me and reaching back to those who need that extra support. I absorb and retain the small details that will help improve my game. I'm different than other recruits because I show sportsmanship to everyone regardless of the situation. Athletically, I'm very attentive and love to play defense. My strength in the game is defense. I love to rebound, shot block and play my opponents close. Offensively, I am great at grabbing offensive rebounds for the putback or kick out to a team member. Academically, I currently take three AP classes and have received more credits than are required to graduate. In my senior year, I plan on being a Dual Enrolled student at my local area college to complete the remainder of my high school graduation requirements.
