My name is Jhessyka Williams. I have been playing basketball since preschool. I was inspired by my father Jessie Williams, mother Consondra Williams and first cousin Brenton Petway. While watching old recordings of my parents playing basketball while in college and my cousin playing in his old games of his basketball season and going to games watching my cousin playing games. My entire family participated in basketball at some point: meanwhile, all of my family have some type of input in what I do on and off the court.
My plans for the future is to become one of the greatest WNBA players and to receive a degree in Secondary Education with a minor in business management. My grade point average is a 3.5 working toward a 4.0 before I complete the 12th grade.
I played basketball at Langford middle school from 2011-2014 and received a starting position from 6-8th grade. I also received 2 trophies with consisted of most improved and defensive player of the year award. I was also selected to play for the 2014 CSRA all-star team basketball classic and received the 3 point shooting award along with the MOP award.
Every summer since 2011, I have attended basketball camp at UNC under the leadership of Coach Sylvia Hatchell. I received several awards.
I am currently playing on 3 AAU Teams during the summer (Big South Dream Team, Georgia Havoc, and Georgia Sting). I played for Lucy C Laney High School summer league 2014 summer and I will be playing for junior varsity and varsity high school team starting in the October under Coach Otis Smart.
